Tiger Woods announced he will miss next week's U.S. Open due to a leg injury. Woods said he hopes use the time off to recover, and to familiarize himself with "this whole Twitter picture messaging thing."

Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney said he does not mind all the attention that is currently being paid to potential rival Sarah Palin, saying "Right now, your greatest enemy is overexposure." For now, Romney is perfectly content being known as that universal health care guy from Massachusetts who lost the last time he tried doing this.

NBC has won the rights to broadcast the Olympics through 2020 after the IOC accepted its $4.38 billion bid. So congratulations, NBC: it looks like you'll still be around in 2020.
