Gaston Caperton, president of SAT-creator The College Board, announced he will be stepping down from his post next year. In a statement, Caperton said he will be taking over as president of the ACT, since he heard from his friends it would be easier.

The U.S. Postal Service will cut 7,500 jobs and close 2,000 post offices in the face of heavy losses. Postal Service insiders blame the recent downturn on the ill-fated timing of their new "Dictators of the Middle East" stamp collection. Company officials said employees will learn of their fate via email.
