The red swimsuit made famous by Farrah Fawcett in a 1976 poster is going to the Smithsonian as part of its popular culture history collection. Also coming to the Smithsonian: a bunch of horny old people.

It's Groundhog's Day, and Punxsutawney Phil apparently did not see his shadow, which according to folklore means spring will come early this year, and according to science means nothing. Just curious, though: Of all the animals, how did the groundhog get its own day?
